Abstract

The East Ogan Komering Ulu Ministry of Religion Office was established as an effort to improve services in the religious sector to the community. The formation of East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency is the result of the expansion of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency based on Law Number 37 of 2003. The East Ogan Komering Ulu Ministry of Religion Office, the implementation of work discipline is still not optimal which has an impact on employee work effectiveness which has not reached the expected level. Therefore, the problem that needs to be researched is how discipline influences the work effectiveness of employees at the East Ogan Komering Ulu Ministry of Religion Office. This research aims to analyze the influence of discipline on the work effectiveness of employees at the East Ogan Komering Ulu Ministry of Religion Office. Good work discipline is expected to increase employee productivity and performance in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. The research method used is quantitative and the process of collecting and processing data uses library research and field studies using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. From the results of the discussion, it was found that the correlation between disciplines in efforts to increase employee work effectiveness at the Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Ministry office was obtained with an r figure of 0.57. After consulting with conservative standards, the figure was found to be 0.400-0.599, which is a moderate correlation. So it can be said that there is a moderate influence between discipline on the work effectiveness of employees at the East Ogan Komering Ulu Ministry of Religion office. This research concludes that increasing discipline in the work environment can contribute to increasing employee work effectiveness and it is recommended that office management pay more attention to aspects of discipline to improve employee performance.
