Abstract

The availability of quality human resources and a high work ethic is the main capital for an organization to be on par with other organizations. Without each individual's personal ability to try to progress without being forced, an organization would be meaningless. At the Muaradua Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan District Office, it turns out that the delegation of authority has not been implemented properly so that employee performance is not optimal. The problem faced is how the delegation of authority affects the performance of Public Service employees at the Muaradua Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan District Office. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of delegation of authority on the performance of Public Service employees at the Muaradua Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan District Office and to be useful as reference material for further research regarding delegation of authority and employee performance. The hypothesis proposed is that delegation of authority has a positive effect on the performance of public service employees at the Muaradua Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan District Office. Data collection and processing using library studies and field studies using observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. From the results of the discussion, it was found that the correlation between delegation of authority in an effort to improve the performance of Public Service employees at the Muaradua Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan District Office obtained an r figure of 0.77. After consulting with conservative standards, it is between 0.600-0.799 which is considered a strong correlation. So it can be said that there is a strong influence between delegation of authority on employee performance at the Muaradua Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan District Office.
